I spend a fair amount of time reading, and I enjoy exploring mystery fiction through many authors. My Book Nook is a forum to share some of the gems I have found along the way.

There are different ways of defining the many genres of mystery and crime fiction. As a tool to help people find authors and books they may enjoy, my reviews refer to six genres of mystery fiction.

Cozy/Classic Detective: No graphic

If there was ever a time for Supernatural to change their minds and accept the fans' way❤️ of writing Castiel's nickname, season 15 offers the final opportunity to do so. Instead, the writers have doubled down on❤️ the double-S nickname, proving once and for all that "Cass" is the way to go.
While Dean does not reciprocate this declaration of love in the❤️ American version of the episode, a Spanish dub has Dean respond, "Yo a ti, Cas," or "And I you, Cas."❤️ At the time, no one from the series or The CW had responded, and some fans saw this as another❤️ example of LGBTQ+ content being censored on the series.

The Shardlake series of mysteries, by C. J. Sansom, is set in England just after the Reformation in the 1500s. I have categorized these books as legal mysteries because the main character
